tvN's new drama "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" is an action drama performed by gumiho Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-wook), who lands in a chaotic era in 1938. On top of that, it returns with dynamic action and more colorful characters on an original worldview that exquisitely combines indigenous gods and native monsters.

In the drama, Kim Ju-young plays the role of Mae-hwa, the eldest sister of Manan Gukjuk, a group of gisaengs in the Myoyeongak, a top restaurant in Gyeongseong. Hong-joo (Kim So-yeon), the owner of Myoyeongak, raised her as a gisaeng, who was abandoned and had nowhere to go, so she learned to write and took care of other gisaengs more than anyone else.

Until now, she has appeared in a number of historical dramas, including TV CHOSUN's "Queen: Love and War", tvN's "Mr. Queen", KBS2's "Royal Secret Agent" and MBN's "Bossam: Steal the Fate" which aired last year.

Meanwhile, tvN's new drama "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" is scheduled to air in 2023.
