Bromance between rivals has become common in K-Dramas. Nonetheless, we enjoy it every time. Bromance brings heart-warming and comic sensations to the drama to make it even more entertaining. Viewers often end up enjoying their screen time together, more than the scenes with the female lead. At times, we even begin to ship them together!

We have handpicked 3 duos from K-Drama land whose relationship we could not name. Is it rivalry or bromance? We are confused!

Han Seo-joon (Hwang In-youp) and Lee Soo-ho (Cha Eun-woo) From "True Beauty"

From friends to enemies to rivals and to friends again. Soo-hoo and Seo-joon's relationship was like a roller-coaster ride. They were once best buddies but that bond was disrupted when their third friend, Jeong Se-yeon (Kang Chan-hee), took his life. The last person he called was Lee Soo-hoo, who couldn't receive it. Seo-joon blamed Soo-hoo for not saving him and the two drifted apart. Things became more intense when both of them began to fall for the same girl, Im Joo-kyeong (Mun Ka-young).

Despite being rivals, they often confused us. Did they really despise each other or want to reunite all along? The most hilarious moments were when they two were caught fighting by Im Joo-kyeong's mother and she made them cut each other's nails whilst saying 'I love you' to each other. The same thing that she did with her siblings.

Also, when the two got into an accident, they helped get each other by either feeding or taking the other to the bathroom, and even helping them change clothes!

Lee Seon-jae (Lee Chae-min) and Seo Geon-woo (Lee Min-jae-II)

Coming to the most recent duo that had us baffled. "Crash Course in Romance" introduced us to Lee Seon-jae and Seo Geon-woo. Both are classmates of Nam Hae-i (Roh Yoon-seo) and soon develop feelings for her. Seon-jae is her life-long best friend and has held his feelings all along. He is even one of the top students in his high school. Despite his mother being too strict, he was still always there to help Hae-i.

Geon-woo was once a hockey athelete, but he lost his dream after he injured his leg. Now, he has to find another dream and focus on studying. He asks Hae-i for help. This annoys Seon-jae, who feels jealous, but rather than stopping him, he ends up provoking Geon-woo. However, this backfires for him, because Geon-woo finds himself falling for Hae-i. He was more outspoken about his feelings, like asking her out before the whole class.

Nonetheless, we also saw moments where the two had each other's backs. When the four friends were together, we witnessed Seon-jae getting less annoyed with him. In fact, the two interacted like real friends. When Seon-jae was turned down by Hae-i at first, Geon-woo laughed at him, but the laugh was a more friendly sight to him. He wasn't personally attacking Seon-jae but like a friend laughing at the other to reduce his humiliation.

Nam Do-san (Nam Joo-hyuk) and Han Ji-pyeong (Kim Seon-ho) from "Start Up"

The story began when Ji-pyeong began to write to Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy). He pretended to be someone else, a boy called Nam Do-san. He had seen him in the newspaper and so he stole his story. Both the children were lonely, hence the letters became special. Seo Dal-mi fell for the boy in the letter and so did Ji-pyeong. But he was not ready to accept it. After dealing with a rough path as an orphan, Ji-pyeong became a man who listens to his brain rather than his heart.

When Dal-mi's grandmother and his savior, Choi Won-deok (Kim Hae-sook) came back to his life, she had a favor to ask. They then planned to bring the real Nam Do-san before Dal-mi. Ji-pyeong tracked him down, but the great Nam Do-san was not so great anymore. Ji-pyeong struck a deal with him. Nam Do-san had to pretend to be the boy in the letters and Ji-pyeong would invest in him, in return.

What began with a partnership ended in rivalry. Nam Do-san gained feelings for Dal-mi and so did Ji-pyeong. He realized that he loved her all along and felt the situation to be unfair. Despite so, there were many moments where they defined bromance. Like the time the two slept together whilst hugging each other. We can never get over that!
