American remake of "Good Doctor" increases episode count

The American remake of the KBS Korean drama "Good Doctor" on ABC has secured a full season of eighteen episodes, proving it a successful adaptation of a K-drama, which is quite rare. According to Nielsen Korea, the show's latest episode clocked in at 2.2% in the 18-49 adults category, which is 11.2 million viewers.

ABC is confident that the show will continue to do well. KBS American representative Yoo Geon-sik who promoted the drama remake commented, "It is common for audience ratings to fall in the second week of regular broadcasting, but "The Good Doctor" has earned an increased audience rating.
