[Animation] Korean Animation ChiChi Secures Joint Production and Distribution Agreement with France

Korea's Neon Pumpkin and PixTrend at the New York KidScreen Summit on the 12th

Joint production agreement signed with French producer and distributor Millimages Korean animation producer Neon Pumpkin and distributor PixTrend signed a cooperation agreement with Millimages, a leading European producer and distributor of animations.

Sponsored by the Korea Creative Content Agency (President & CEO: Lee Jae-woong), Korean animation companies Neon Pumpkin and PixTrend participated in the New York KidScreen Summit on the 12th (Korean time). The two companies announced, "We have signed a joint development, production and distribution agreement with Millimages, Europe's largest animation producer and distributor, to pave the way for Neon Pumpkin's ChiChi in the global market".

According to the agreement, the three companies will immediately start working on the scenario for the first season of ChiChi, which consists of 52 episodes (11 minutes per episode).

CEO Jonathan Peel of Millimages said, "The design and appearance of the main characters including ChiChi will readily appeal to the global market. We are pleased to work with PixTrend, a promising animation distributor in Korea".

President Han Kyung-won of PixTrend said, "Millimages is a leading company that boasts world-class production technology. Through this cooperation, we expect ChiChi to emerge as an icon loved by children around the world".

Established in 2006, Neon Pumpkin specializes in 3D animation planning and production. Its past productions include The Adventures of Young Dr. Doolittle and Wonder Boy. Last year, it secured a co-production contract worth $5.2 million with Australia's Crewjo and Malaysia's Backbone Entertainment for the animation Charlie Gribble and the Magic Maps (working title).

Millimages is a professional animation producer and distributor with worldwide recognition for its creativity and production technology. The company runs a production center in Paris and an overseas distribution center in London. It is best known for Jasper the Penguin.
