Animation "Mangchi", at Theatres on August 6

A feature animation Boy Mangchi is decided to begin showings at theatres on August 6. The animation was produced by Character Plan with an investment from KTB Network based on a comic book by Youngman Hur.
It is an action adventure story that a little boy Mangchi grows up to be a legendary knight in the future earth. Free Vision in charge of the animation's marketing will hold a charged-preview event prior to the official screening. It will be showed at six Lotte Cinema locations nationwide on the Children's Day.
KOFIC and KCTPI will also hold a special invitational preview event for thirty students from Nocheon Elementary School, Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. President offers invitational tickets for August showings to children who visit Cheongwadae. Lotte Cinema will gift a VHS of an EBS animation Oz World to visitors on the Children's Day through raffle.
Mangchi, finally completed after the four years of production, was renowned in various international film festivals. It was first introduced to the public at SICAF, Seoul, last year as an opening piece, and it was invited to the New York International Children's Film Festival. The animation was sold to the US Central Park Media and TF1 of France. There is continued interest from many European buyers.
