Annual Film and Music Festival to Be Held in Jecheon

After hosting two large-scale music festivals in as many weeks, Jisan and Pentaport, Korea readies to welcome the 7th Jecheon International Music and Film Festival from Thursday to Tuesday.

This year, a total of 101 films will be screened and over 50 music groups will stage live performances at JIMFF, which takes place in North Chungcheong Province.

The films will be divided into eight sections, including "World Music Film Today", "Cine Symphony", which focuses on musicals and films dealing with musicians, and "Music in Sight", which covers documentaries about music.

The festival will open with Jim Kohlberg's "The Music Never Stopped", based on the case study "The Last Hippie" by Dr. Oliver Sacks. Directors Jim Bigham, Toshi Shioya, Carlo Mirabella-Davis, Selma Bargach and Chen Tapu will visit Korea during the festival.
