And now it's time for our arts and culture update with Michelle Kim. I hear she has some movies and exciting performances to tell us about today.

So what do you have for us today

Okay Well, I hear you have two theatrical events to tell us about

[Reporter : ] Yes. Writer Park Wan-suh's novel is presented as a one-woman play starring actress Son Sook and there is a musical version of "Carmen" that continues through Sunday. Have a look.

Actress Son Sook portrays a mother's fear and pain in a one-woman play based on the autobiography by novelist Park Wan-suh. In this scene, the mother, whose son is lying on a hospital bed in a vegetative state, cries out his name and explodes with sadness as she sits alone in an empty room. She gradually begins to forget her daily routine and tries to run away from reality until she is able to confront her situation. "I was so envious seeing a mother and son being able to see, touch, and feel each other"..

The play, "My Very Last Possession", is now showing at Chungmu Art Hall in Daehangno and continues through September 23rd. Over at the Arko Arts Theater, in the same neighborhood, a naive young soldier meets a free-spirited gypsy and falls in love as the musical "Carmen" gets a revival.

The musical is based on the original "Carmen" story by French writer Prosper Merimee .
The tale of Passionate Love, jealousy and murder is given a dramatic re-staging here in Seoul and continues until Sunday.

Those are two very different performances for us to choose from. I like that you've given us a preview of something deep and serious and something more extravagant and lively.

[Reporter : ] I'm glad to hear that. But instead of choosing just one show, I suggest you try to see both shows if you have the time. Both performances are based on renowned novels and Son Sook is said to be absolutely amazing in her role. And with "Carmen", the dancing, singing and music are all a bit different from the style of the opera "Carmen" so I think it will be a fun show to see, as well.

Sounds great. And you've got one more segment for us, right[Reporter : ] Yes. I have the events bulletin for you and today it consists of three concerts. The first concert features Lee Jung as host and performer, along with Mighty Mouth and Eru. Next, indie band Nell will have a comeback concert and finally Urban Zakapa will be performing for one night only in southern Seoul. Here are the details.

[Reporter : ed: jenny] This bulletin features 3 events.

Lee Jung will take the stage with Mighty Mouth and Eru on the 31st of this month at the Sungnam Arts Center. Lee, who is also the host for the night, will be performing many of his hit songs. The dress code for the concert is red and guests are invited to join in the fun.

Last April, indie rock band Nell made a comeback with its fifth album overall, "Slip Away". The band has a melancholic sound that has won over listeners and put the band at the top of the charts. Nell performs from September 20th to the 23rd at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall.

Urban Zakapa, an indie band whose popularity is growing, will perform at Olympic Park's Olympic Hall on September 22nd. The three members all write, compose and produce their own songs and albums, which offer a sweet, romantic sound.

Thank you for the update

[Reporter : ] My pleasure
