According to Flix Patrol, which compiles statistics such as movies and TV series on the 27th, "The Silent Sea" ranked fourth in the global Netflix TV show category the previous day.

"The Silent Sea", released on the 24th, doesn't have an explosive response like the "Squid Game" or "Helbound" which ranked No. 1 in the world immediately after its release, but it is gradually raising its ranking and drawing attention. "The Silent Sea" ranked seventh on the 25th while it ranks first in Korea, Japan, and Thailand. It ranks third in the U.S. and fourth in the U.K.

This work is drawing attention in that it is actually the first Korean-style SF drama to be attempted. Director Choi Hang-yong expanded the short film of the same name released in 2014 into a series and re-made it. Director Choi was in charge of directing once again following the short film and Bae Doona, Gong Yoo, Lee Joon, Kim Sun-young and Lee Mu-saeng make up the cast.

"The Silent Sea" is an SF thriller about the story of members who left for the moon to solve the serious water shortage phenomenon on Earth against the backdrop of the near future. The fact that actor Jung Woo-sung participated as a producer is also a hot topic.
