Bae Yong-joon's Drama "Hotelier" Popular In Japanese Movie Theaters

The tv drama "Hotelier", which starred the Korean celebrity Bae Yong-joon six years ago is receiving much attention from the Japanese movie theaters.

Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills started to show "Hotelier" on the screen every Thursday since April 12th. This was planned alongside the broadcasting of the Japanese remake of "Hotelier" on Asahi TV, and will be showing on the screen for ten weeks.

According to the recent Nippon Sports news, on May 17th, it had a record number of sold-out showings, so it broke the box-office record for "Spiderman 3" on that same day.

On the 14th when the last episode will be aired, a commemorative event will be held, with the help from the profits from the previous box-office sales. At this event, an unreleased clip from the Japanese remake of "Hotelier" that features Ueto Aya and guest star Bae Yong-joon, will be shown.

Also, Bae Yong-joon's Japanese agency, IMX, plans to release only fifty Hotelier 2007 Collector's DVD boxes for sale and hopes to continue the popularity of "Hotelier".
