T.O.P was prosecuted without detention on the charged of having smoked marijuana on the 5th of June.

Police claimed that T.O.P smoked marijuana at his house with a wannabe singer in March this year. He is being charged on four accounts; two counts in the form of marijuana at his house in October last year and two counts of marijuana in the liquid form.

Narcotics crime department charged T.O.P with the violation of the drug law and his case was handed to the prosecutors. During investigations T.O.P claimed that he smoked an e-cigarette while the wannabe smoked marijuana but police discovered positive reactions through tests on T.O.P's hair.

T.O.P admitted to two counts of the accusations but denied the other two in liquid form. He was retired from his duties as conscripted policeman and was transferred to Division 4 in Seoul.

The next day, T.O.P was found sweaty and unconscious and was taken to the Ehwa University Hospital on the 6th at midnight. Currently, he's recovering and is able to make simple communication.

Lawyer Lee Yong-hwan says, "Violation of the narcotics law can lead to 5 years imprisonment and or a fine of 50 million won. This is T.O.P's first violation and he's shown that he regrets what he's done so he may just get a probation but if the accusations on the liquid form of marijuana turn out to be true, he may be sent to prison for not having been honest. If he gets a sentence of more than a year and a half, he may not have to finish his mandatory duties".

T.O.P was on duty at the Seoul Gangnam Police Stattion and the wannabe was arrested for the charges on smoking marijuana.
