Girl group Black Pink's hit "Kill This Love" has been selected as the song of the year by U.S. entertainment magazine Paper.

Listing the top 50 songs of 2019, the magazine highlighted Black Pink's "fiery brand of global girl power" in naming the single as the top song of the year.

The magazine described "Kill This Love" as "an explosive culmination of the musical styles that ruled the last decade".

The music video for the song was viewed over 56 million times in the first 24 hours after its release on YouTube in April.
