BTS Top U.S. Billboard with New Album

BTS took the top spot on major American and British music charts with their new album released on Feb. 21.

The album, "Map of the Soul: 7", topped the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart in the week ending on Feb. 27, becoming the band's fourth album to achieve the feat. It racked up the largest weekly sales for any release so far this year.

The album's lead track "ON" also debuted on the Hot 100 singles chart at No. 4.

BTS also landed on the No. 1 spot on the Official Chart in the U.K. on Feb. 28 for the second time.

They became the first Korean act to top the British album chart with their previous album "Map of the Soul: Persona" released in April 2019.
