BTS Urge Young People to 'Speak Yourself' at UN Speech

Boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, made a speech at the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday.

RM, the leader of the band, spoke for the group for about seven minutes, delivering messages about following your inner voice and loving yourself.

He said, "I want to hear your voice. I want to hear your conviction. No matter where you're from, your skin color, your gender identity -- just speak yourself".

BTS attended a UNICEF event as part of its project called "Generation Unlimited", which is "dedicated to increasing opportunities and investments for children and young people".

First lady Kim Jung-sook was present at the event and listened to the group's speech.
