Byeol emerges as Asian star at 2005 Gugak Festival

Singer Byeol staged an impressive performance at the 2005 Gugak (traditional music) Festival, which was held Dec. 2 in Vietnam to mark the 13th anniversary of Korean-Vietnamese diplomatic relations. She performed in front of high-ranking Vietnamese officials and an audience of some 5,000.

The festival was even more meaningful for Byeol because it was held at the Reunification Hall, which once housed Vietnamese presidents in the past.

When Byeol was singing "I Think, I", the theme song of the TV drama "Full House", which in Vietnam recorded the highest viewership in Asia, everyone in the audience sang the entire song along with her. At the concert, the singer also showcased the beauty of Korea by appearing in an elegant traditional Korean costume designed by Choi Yu-joo, the youngest designer of the 2006 Spring/Summer Seoul Collection.

Byeol will appear as a guest at Rain's concert in Taiwan slated for Dec. 30, and will release her third album early next year.
