Celebrities Help Build Interest in Pyeongchang Paralympics

Maintaining the spirit shown during the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Koreans are making individual efforts to ensure that the Winter Paralympics are just as successful.

People are voluntarily buying multiple tickets to share them with friends and promoting the event on social media, all to help raise interest in the Paralympics which open next week.

Celebrities have stepped in to help. Actor Lee Dong-wook bought 1,000 tickets to an ice hockey match for his fans. He will watch the game with them in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. Lee said he decided to hold the event because he was moved by a Paralympics match he attended in the past.

Actor Jang Keun-suk also purchased 2,018 tickets to watch an ice hockey match with his fans.
