2009/11/12 | 1727 views | Permalink | Source

He will be a patient diagnosed of megalomania also known as insanity of grandeur.

Hyun Bin's new film is titled, "I Am Happy" where the main character cannot handle his pitiful life and eventually suffers this disease of insanity.

Man-soo's mother has alzheimer's disease and his brother committed suicide leaving a big debt from gambling. All this life drama, Man-soo cannot remember and lives in the psychiatric ward of the hospital like a dream. His friends believe Man-soo's claim that the paper he holds is a great sum of money from banks all around the world. The nurse Soo-kyeong acted by Lee Bo-young and the attending physician are characters who are in Man-soo's life.

Hyun Bin acting as a patient has a very disheveled look. This image is very different from other characters that he's been acting.

The film is based on a novel titled, "Mr. Cho Man-deuk". It hopes to carry the same sadness, human drama, and sympathy as the novel portrays.

The sad patient who cannot face the harsh reality and the nurse who is tired and busy from life share each other's load and pain from life.

"I Am Happy" will be released this 26th.
