Cinema, gourmet food at Cine de Chef

Have you ever spent hours on the street or online trying in vain to find a place to impress your date or to have a decent yet fun meeting with your business partners? Then you might want to consider booking Cine de Chef for your next date or meeting -- and you will not regret it.

Cine de Chef, launched earlier this month in Apgujeong, Seoul, is a new concept that combines a luxurious movie theater with gourmet food. The food is so good that one might expect to find it at a five-star hotel restaurant.

Targeted for corporate events, parties and love birds on special occasions, Cine de Chef's top-class service guarantees customers' intimacy and privacy in its spacious venue which accommodates only 30 guests at one time.

"It is like coming to a classy luxurious restaurant in New York and then a Hollywood movie theater", says a customer of Cine de Chef.
Tickets start from 60,000 won, but for a night-out on the weekends, prices go up to 100,000 won.

"There are many Koreans going abroad to enjoy a high-class culture scene. Cine de Chef is trying to accommodate these customers in their socializing scene and also provide the most recent movie", said Kim Il-jin, manager of the public relations team at CJ CGV Co.

The cinema is equipped with 30 lavish easy chairs, which cost 8 million won ($8,500) each and is famous for its main customers, royal families of Arabic countries. Compared to the 2 channel speakers of most cinemas, their world-class 11.1 channel speakers surround the whole cinema, including the floor and the ceiling.

Their nouveau oriental fine dining is prepared by experienced chefs who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, a prestigious culinary school.

Along with these special features, customers are provided with valet parking, an exclusive VIP elevator and an escort service. English speaking staff is also available to accommodate foreign customers.

"It is like coming to a classy luxurious restaurant in New York and then a Hollywood movie theater", said Kevin Burque, a customer.

Chang Eun-young, director of the F&B business team, emphasized the comfortable yet elegant interior design of brown and beige -- executives' preferred colors.

"Cine de Chef goes far beyond the multiplex era of the cinema. It will serve as a funplex, a place for (mixing) socializing, art and performance", she said.

Cine de Chef is located at CGV, Apgujeong, Seoul. For more information and reservations, visit http://www.cinedechef.com or call (02)3446-0541.
