CJ CGV to multiply current screen number to 600 screens

Multiplex movie theater CJ CGV that will offer stocks for subscription next week, said that the movie house plans to amplify current screen number of 25 sites(movie theater) and 203 screen level to 70 sites as well as 600 screens by the upcoming 2007.
CJ CGV explained regarding the company's plan that if it merges with Primuscinema to acquire after two years, the movie house will be able to secure 100 sites and approximately 900 screens all over the country.
An official of CJ CGV said, "The movie theater would be able to multiply its current market share of 22% level to about 50% level". Yet, CGV and Primuscinema plan to maintain separate brand due to their management style's difference.
CJ CGV offers stocks for subscription with 25,000 won, 50 times of its face value and will be listed on the stock exchange on Dec. 24.
CJ CGV has introduced multiplex movie theater concept first and foremost at home and has been heading toward an advanced movie culture and the highest service in the world.
In particular, the cinema theater has been offering satisfaction beyond a movie to customers with its peculiar service themes such as Gold Class, CGV lounge for VIP customers, Premium Cinema for women and extra-large phantastic cinema & green cinema.
