CJ Entertainment to sound potential possibility of Korean cinema

"How to Keep My Love" starring Kim Jeong-eun
CJ Entertainment, which is propelling all sorts of oversea inroads projects briskly this year, sounds potential possibility of Korean cinema as well as its market scale via a partnership with SPTI (Sony Pictures Television International).

As part of such partnership, CJ Entertainment agreed to distribute through SPTI regarding Asia TV copyright of the company's two investment distribution cinemas.

With this agreement, 'The Greatest Expectations' starring Kim Sun-ah and "How to Keep My Love" starring Kim Jeong-eun are to be telecasted across entire Asia exclusive of Japan under the distribution of SPTI.

In the light of the fact that Sony has a enormous distribution power and the company had distributed excellent films in the past, we are expecting that the two films also would arouse good responses within Asia market, CJ Entertainment said.

An official responsible for this distribution at CJ Entertainment added that the two cinemas' telecast via SPTI will serve also as an momentum to draw interest in Korean cinema and Korean actors.

According to CJ Entertainment, SPTI is an affiliate company of Sony Pictures, the largest scale's movie studio in the world. Including movies of Sony Pictures, SPTI is the largest scale's TV copyright agency, which has been distributing movies all over the world to each nation TV.
