Actress Clara has counterattacked chairman Lee Gyu-tae.

Clara and her father were initially charged with blackmailing the chairman of Polaris Entertainment, Lee Gyu-tae but they were acquitted.

The Seoul Central Crown Office ruled innocent for Clara and Lee Seung-gyu, her father. It turns out that the chairman was guilty of blackmailing her instead and was indicted.

According to investigators, the chairman met Clara on the 22nd of August in a café and said things like, "I could slit your throat and kill you in an instant", "I could make you disabled" and more.

Investigators claim the chairman boasted his power about having been in the Central Intelligence Agency and that he could see all Kakao Talk messages, planting fear in Clara.

Previously, Lee Gyu-tae sued Clara and Lee Seung-gyu for blackmail in October. Clara was accused of threatening the chairman with contents of their conversation via mobile phones on two A4 papers, saying that she was sexually harassed by him and that she would go to the police with it if he didn't agree to cancel her contract.

Investigators say, "Judging by Lee Gyu-tae's status and age gap with Clara, the time and locations of the messages gone back and forth between them and the way Lee usually showed off his power and authority to Clara doesn't show at all that Clara's claim of sexual harassment is an overstatement. She had the right to ask for cancellation of contract and the fact that she said she would take it to the police isn't socially unconventional".
