"R2B: Return to Base" has now burst upon the mobile game scene courtesy of CJ E&M's Netmarble, a developer, publisher, and sponsor of free online games in South Korea and Japan. (They also have a global website).

As you may recall, Rain has had a gaming character for several years in "Sudden Attack", touted as the biggest and most popular online game developed by Netmarble in Korea. As we understand it, Rain was the first celebrity to be embedded into the game, in 2008, and his character has raked in well over $210 million USD in sales since that day.

» For more information on "Sudden Attack", and to see the various upgrades that have been made to Rain's character over the years, you can visit our previous posts from 2010 and 2011 HERE.

Netmarble Smart (Mobile) posted an announcement on their Facebook page earlier today about the new R2B app, which has product pages in the T-Store and in the U+ App Market.

R2B: 리턴투베이스, a Hollywood-infused, aerial action thriller remake of Shin Sang-ok's 1964 film "The Red Scarf", officially premiered in South Korea on August 15, and will premiere in North America on August 24. It has been purchased by 30 countries thus far, and so has just left the runway.  It has a lot of flying to do before coming back in for a landing.

We expect the flight to be a successful one.
