CODA officially launched

The Corea Drama Association (CODA), an organization of some 30 Korean drama production companies, was launched on Aug. 30.

At the inauguration ceremony held in the afternoon at the Atlantic Hall of COEX in Seoul, CODA explained the background behind its establishment. "Under the name CODA, we hope to unify our communications with other related organizations and to create a more advanced broadcasting culture".

Participating in the ceremony were Shin, Hyun-Taek, CEO of Samhwa Production and the first president of the association; Park, Chang-Sik, Executive Director of KimJongHak Production; Song, Byung-Joon, CEO of Creative Leaders Group 8; Moon, Jeong-Soo, CEO of DSPent; Yoon, Shin-Ae, CEO of Apple Tree Pictures; Jang, Jin-Wook, Executive Producer of iHQ; Kim, Ki-Beom of Chorokbaem Media; and Park, Yeong-Seok, CEO of Pan Entertainment.

Actor Choi Bool-am; Ma, Kwon-Soo, member of the Broadcasting Committee; Congressmen Choi, Goo-Sik and Lee, Jae, Woong; and Kim, Hwan-Gyun, chair of the PD Association, gave congratulatory messages.
