Korean Wave concert targets foreign tourists.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that it would be staging 'Korean Sparkling' concert, aimed at promoting foreign tourism, on Sep. 23 at the Opera House, Seoul Arts Center, as part of the Ministry's plan to develop Korean tourism products related to popular music.

Until now, Korean Wave related events have all been held outside Korea, making it impossible to link with the Korean tourism industry. This concern aims to generate a synergy effect between music and tourism by developing Korean tourism products related to Korean pop music.

Expected to attract 1,500 foreign tourists and 300 foreign nationals who reside in Korea, this concert will be held simultaneously with the Asia Song Festival, held on Sep. 22, just one day before the concert, at the Worldcup Stadium in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

With the theme 'Korea Sparkling', Korea's tourism brand, the concert will showcase Korean Wave stars, such as Kangta, SG Wannabe, Park Hyo-shin, Super Junior., as well as the cast of Jump, non-verbal performance, and B-Boy.
