[Interview : Sumi Jo, Opera singer] "I can't believe that it has been 25 years. Time seems to fly, and I feel that I'm about halfway into my life now".

It is no easy task for anyone to be a world-class expert in one particular field for a quarter of a century.

[Interview : Sumi Jo, Opera singer] "I always do my best as a musician, and I want to try a new repetoire, as well as music that can portray myself as being free".

The Italian word "libera" means "freedom", and there is no better word to describe her life than that.

[Interview : Sumi Jo, Opera singer] "The kinds of music that could portray me as a free spirit were Bohemian and gypsy music, so I chose gypsy music. I do not discern over genres, whether they are classical, popera or Korean traditional vocal music".

Among the included tracks, one stands out.
It's "Song for Reunification".

[Interview : Sumi Jo, Opera singer] "During my 30 years of living abroad, one thing I clearly realized was that I am Korean and that Korea has come very far. The reason why I put in such a song in the album is because I wanted to show my colors as a musician and my love for my country".

Sumi Jo constantly strives to give her best, unique music.
We look forward to her efforts and works moving our hearts in the future.
