Culture content forum to begin today

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the state-run Korea Culture and Content Agency jointly hosts the annual culture content industry forum at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel in downtown Seoul today.

The forum, started in 2002, covers culture content cooperative projects and policy issues among Korea, China and Japan, with government officials and experts from the private sector exchanging ideas on the fast-growing industry in the Northeast Asia region.

The three Asian countries are in a different stage in terms of culture content business, but the exchanges and cooperative projects are growing at rapid pace in recent years.

This year, the three-day forum will focus on joint production and joint investment in movies and other content businesses. Government officials in charge of culture content from the three countries will present latest policy issues, while private sector experts will discuss pending issues that can help accelerate cooperation in culture content businesses.
