Culture Firms to Get O'seas Advance Aid

The Culture and Tourism Ministry will help domestic companies in the cultural content industry to advance into global markets.

Under a plan announced Wednesday, the ministry has set as its mid- to long-term target ranking fifth in world sales of cultural content by 2010, through higher output of global cultural products, attracting more customers abroad and setting up related infrastructure.

Also planned are the designation of promising cultural projects, a global mobile award, research on the world culture market and a industry forum among South Korea, China and Japan.
