Culture Ministry to Award Medal to Actress Jeon

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism said Thursday that it will award a medal to actress Jeon Do-yeon, who was named the best actress at this year's Cannes Film Festival for her leading role in "Miryang", or "Secret Sunshine".
The ministry said the medal was to give her credit for showing the superior quality of Korean cinema to the world with her "excellent performance".
