Cute "Old Miss" Ye Ji-won

Actress Ye Ji-won, who plays the role of an unfortunate but warm-hearted thirty-something woman "Mija" in the KBS TV2 sitcom "Old Miss's Diary", is credited highly with showing the potential of women-centered sitcoms. "I often hear from viewers that their moms say that my character in this sitcom reminds them of themselves in younger years. Even to me, "Old Miss's Diary" is like my personal diary. I find this sitcom very interesting", says Ye.

Ye's popularity has been rising steadily since she started appearing in scenes with her character's love interest, producer Ji Hyun-woo, who is Mija's junior. The two characters have been involved in many realistic "pushing and pulling" scenes as a couple.

Asked about her secret to acting so well in concert with her fellow actor, Ye said that not only does her character mesh well with the character of "Hyun-woo", she also finds it extremely easy to work with the other actors because they are so talented. She also added that it is easy for her to act realistically because "Old Miss's Diary" is closer to a television drama than a sitcom thanks to its true-to-life plot and the absence of canned laughter.

"I am not tired of my tight filming schedule at all, perhaps thanks to so many ideas in this sitcom that I totally agree with. We shoot each episode in a pleasant environment because the teamwork between the cast and the production team is seamless", said Ye.
