Director Chung Ji-young's "The Boys" Starring Sol Kyung-gu, Yu Jun-sang, Jin Kyung, Heo Sung-tae and Yeom Hye-ran

Director Chung Ji-young's latest "The Boys" confirmed a lineup of Sol Kyung-gu, Yu Jun-sang, Jin Kyung, Heo Sung-tae and Yeom Hye-ran and is beginning filming at the end of this month.

"The Boys" is a story about an investigating team leader, Hwang Joon-cheol, in charge of investigating boys who are suspected of robbery at the local town supermarket.

Sol Kyung-gu, who has been showing off his irreplaceable presence through many works, regardless of genre and character, and has been the representative face of Korean films for more than 20 years, has been confirmed to play Hwang Joon-cheol, the chief investigator of the team who is reinvestigating the case. Hwang Joon-cheol is a person who has launched a reinvestigation into the robbery and murder case of 'Woori Super' with his honest determination to resolve the case.

In the role of Choi Woo-seong, an elite police officer who is strongly trusted by the organization due to his meticulous investigation and performance, is Yu Jun-sang, who is active in movies, musicals, music activities, as well as dramas.

Adding credibility to the role of Yoon Mi-sook, the daughter of the deceased grandmother and the only witness of the incident is Jin Kyung, who showed impressive performances by perfectly portraying various characters in numerous dramas.

Heo Sung-tae, who is prominent in Chungmuro, plays the role of Detective Park, a junior detective who trusts and follows Chief Investigator Hwang. Yeom Hye-ran takes on the role of Kim Kyeong-mi, a quiet and supportive wife to chief investigator Hwang.

Kim Dong-young, Yoo Su-bin and Kim Kyung-ho play the role of the boys who have been picked out as the culprits of the case. Meanwhile, Cho Jin-woong promised a special appearance in the film thanks to this friendship with director Chung Ji-young.

Attention is being focused on director Chung Ji-young's film based on the true story of the 'Samrenara Super Incident' in Wanju, North Jeolla Province, in 1999.
