Director Lee Jang-ho invited to the 2005 Yubari Film Festival

Film Director and Executive Committee Director of Jeonju International Film Festival Lee Jang-ho has been invited to the 16th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival to head the screening committee that will judge entries submitted to its Young Competition division. The festival is to be held from Feb 24th to 28th.

The film festival, which will take place at a closed mining village in Hokkaido Prefecture in northern Japan, is considered to have a prestigious reputation similar to other international film festivals such as Sitges in Spain, FantasPorto in Portugal, and Brussels in Belgium.

Over the past years, the film festival has awarded its grand prize to Korean films, including "My Sassy Girl" directed by Kwak Jae-yong and "Mokpo, Gangster's Paradise" directed by Kim Ji-hoon. This year, "So Cute" directed by Kim Soo-hyeon has been submitted to the festival's Competition section.
