The film by famous local director Kim Ki-duk is a story about the friendship between two women from different social classes _ a college student and prostitute. As prostitution districts in Seoul are cleared up, Jin-ah sets out to Birdcage Inn in Pohang, South Kyongsang Province to continue her job. The owner of the inn has a college student daughter named Hea-mi, who despises Jin-ah for having been a prostitute, and they can't gel along well and their relationship becomes worse as Jin-ah happens to sleep with Hea-mi's boyfriend. This charity movie session will screen "Chunhyang" by master director Im Kwon-taek. In the movie, he reinterpreted a traditional "pansori" (narrative singing) tale about a young woman's faith in her true love in his 97th movie. Set in the 18th century, the film revolves around Chunhyang who waits for her lover Mongryong, who has gone to Seoul to take an examination to become a high ranking government official. The session is held once a month at the venue, near City Hall Station on subway line 1 and 2. Admission to each session is 10,000 won, which will be donated to a local charity organization.
