The sequel to the popular 2002 comedy stars Shin Hyun-joon and KIm Won-hee, and tells a story of a powerful mafia family with a daughter-in-law whose job is a prosecutor. Mrs. Hong is the godmother of a big gang, and she wants to have an intelligent daughter-in-law to make her gang prosper. But she faces a major crisis as her son Jang In-jae (played by Shin) falls in love with star prosecutor Kim Jin-kyung (KIm Won-hee), who is out to rid the nation of gangsters. In this, his 97th movie, he reinterprets a traditional "pansori" (narrative singing) tale about a young woman's faith in her true love. Set in the 18th century, the film revolves around Chunhyang who waits for her lover Mongryong, who has gone to Seoul to take an examination to become a high-ranking government official.
