"Dong Yi" captures No.1 spot on Mon-Tues nights

MBC TV series "Dong Yi" has once again captured the No. 1 spot on the charts for Monday and Tuesday night dramas, maintaining high ratings for the 12th consecutive week.

Numbers from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that the historical drama recorded viewership ratings of 31.1 percent on June 28 and 31.9 percent the following night. Compared to its previous week, the ratings for the show increased by an average of two percent.

Figures released by AGB Nielsen Media Research showed that "Dong Yi", into its 30th episode, brought in slightly lower ratings of 28 percent on Monday and 28.7 percent the next day.

This week's episode showed how Dong Yi (played by Han Hyo-joo) who had returned back to the king's palace as a maid in charge of the water for the court ladies to wash their faces, becomes a court lady herself.

Meanwhile, SBS' drama "Giant", brought in an average 15 percent ratings on TNmS' chart and 14 percent on AGB's survey.
