According to statistics released by TNS Media Korea, ratings for "Dong Yi" rose from 25.8 on Monday to 28.5 percent the following day, indicating that the show may soon breach the 30 percent mark since first airing on March 22.

AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the historical drama averaged ratings of 25.7 percent over the two days, the figure increasing by 5.7 percent from its two previous episodes when the show recorded a mean of 20 percent last week.

This week's show focused on Ok-jung (Lee So-yeon) questioning Sukjong (Ji Jin-hee) on having a secret affection for Dong Yi (Han Hyo-joo).

Meanwhile, new SBS drama "Giant", starring Lee Beom-soo and Park Jin-hee, made its premiere with passing marks, scoring ratings averaging 13 percent on TNS' chart and 11.7 percent on AGB's poll.

"Giant", set in the 1970s to 1980s, is about three siblings who were separated after losing their parents who later come together to seek revenge for them.
