Korean actress Han Hyo-joo on the set of historical drama "Dong Yi" [MBC]
"Dong Yi" dominated the Monday and Tuesday night primetime lineup once again, maintaining its position as the No. 1 show in the country for the tenth consecutive week.
Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that the historical series continued to record TV marks in the 30 percent range with ratings of 31 percent on June 14 and 33.1 percent the following night, respectively.
Statistics released by AGB Nielsen Media Research indicated that "Dong Yi", now into its 26th episode, showed an increase by a mean of 3.3 percent compared to the previous week's average.
This week's episode focused on how Dong Yi (played by Han Hyo-joo) was in danger after being captured by Jang Hee-jae (played by Kim Yoo-suk).
Meanwhile, SBS' drama "Giant", about three siblings seeking the revenge of their parents' death, did not air this week due to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa games. "Giant" will return on the primetime lineup on June 22.
