Ratings for MBC drama "Dong Yi" saw a slight decline this week but maintained its title as the most-watched Monday and Tuesday primetime drama in the country for the 14th consecutive week.

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that viewership ratings for "Dong Yi" stood at 29.1 percent on July 12 and 29.7 percent the following day, recording an average 1.7 percentage point drop compared to last week.

The statistics also pointed to a drop below the 30 percent mark for the first time in five weeks -- the series had been seeing ratings in the low 30-percent range since its episode aired on June 8.

Data released by AGB Nielsen Media Research showed that the No. 1 drama brought in ratings of 26.3 percent on Monday and 27.4 percent the next day.

This week's episode focused how Jang Hee-bin (played by Lee So-yeon) tried to unveil the past and weakness of Dong Yi (played by Han Hyo-joo) with her ornamental hairpin.

Meanwhile, SBS' series "Giant" trailed behind the traditional drama with ratings in the 16 to 18 percent range on both charts.
