MBC special drama "Empress ki" started in August last year and ended on the 29th of April, after 6 months. Everyone shared tears and laughter after having spent so many months together throughout the drama. The main star was Ha Ji-won who has a history of successful dramas but it wasn't easy for her to play a role in such a long-term drama.

She made herself up as a man so to not be taken away as a court lady but in the end she lost her parents and was abandoned by a weak country and became a court lady anyway but Ki Seung-nyang always dreamed of love and happiness. She survived a lonely but an intense fight in the palace but placed herself in the empress position of spacious Yuan Dynasty.

In the process, Ha Ji-won displayed her skills in action and even shared affectionate love with two men. She also reflected motherly love and cold charisma, showing off the various colors she had inside her.

The synergy from Ha Ji-won in this long-term drama proves her abilities and is mostly the reason for this drama's success. Ha Ji-won has to let go of Seung-nyang she'd lived with for the past 9 months.

Meanwhile, Ha Ji-won is going to take a short break and get started with "Chronicle of a Blood Merchant" shortly after.
