The Incheon District Court slapped a W15 million (US$1=W1,125) fine on former actress Park Sang-ah, who married the son of disgraced ex-president Chun Doo-hwan, and another parent for breaking the law by sending their children to a school for foreigners.

Park, allegedly assisted by an American school staffer seeking to lure wealth and prominent parents to the school, used false documents to gain admission to the school in May last year.
She had sent her two children to an English-language kindergarten for two months and then transferred them to the school. But in fact the kindergarten they attended was not a school for foreigners, so they were not really eligible.
