Ex-Girls' Generation Member Jessica Jung Pens Autobiographical Novel

Jessica Jung, a former member of K-pop girl group Girls' Generation, is publishing an autobiographical novel.

"Shine" will hit bookshelves simultaneously on Sept. 29 in 11 nations including Korea, Brazil, Indonesia, the U.S. and Vietnam.

The story depicts the life of a 17-year-old Korean-American girl who wants to achieve her dream of becoming a K-pop star.

"The book offers a realistic account of a girl's journey through many years of training, harsh criticism and strict discipline", according to publisher RH Korea.

Jessica Jung made her debut with Girls' Generation in 2007 and left the group in 2014. Since then, she has run her own fashion business.
