Ex-Miss Korea Tops Internet News

Actress and former Miss Korea Ham So-won topped the nation's No.1 search engine Naver's most searched key words list last week. As the 2006 adult movie "Where Am I?" featuring Ham as the sexy partner of an ugly and poor farmer aired on cable TV on the morning of May 13, excited fans got on to the Internet to see more of her. She is also known for her nude photo album.

Coming in second was "sea monster" after news was reported by a Russian newspaper that an unidentified "sea monster" had been discovered off the Guinea coast of Africa broke on the Internet.

Third on the list was Han Mi-ok, a woman whose distorted face due to cosmetic surgery addiction shocked the nation when she appeared on TV shows in 2004. She gained public attention once again as Internet users viewed recent pictures depicting the unnatural appearance of Hollywood actress Melanie Griffith and were reminded of Han.

Coming in fourth was video footage featuring Seol Ki-hyeon, a South Korean forward for the football club FC Reading in the English Premier League, scoring his fourth goal in the team's last match of the season against the Blackburn Rovers on May 14.

The fifth and the 10th place were taken by female duo group Foxy and TV actress Nah Ha-na, who recently released sexy photos via the Internet for mobile phones. Nude photos of female entertainers are said to be one of the best-selling items in the mobile service's download market.

The 15-year-old Kim Sung-eun-I, who starred in a popular TV sitcom series in late 1990s, took the sixth place as photos showing her mature appearance have been revealed through her personal Internet blog.

Coming in the seventh was Jang Mi-il, an MBC anchor who experienced a broadcasting accident by breaking into laughter while announcing one of the headlines on a live news program on the morning of May 12.

Actress Lee Jenny took the eighth place on rumors spread through the Internet that she might be an ex-girlfriend of Tablo, a popular rapper. The rumor has not yet been confirmed.

Coming in the ninth was TV soap opera "Thank You" the tear-jerking tale of an 8-year-old girl infected with the HIV virus. The MBC network show, which aired from March 21 to May 10 won top ratings in its time slot with the story of a young HIV carrier _ a rare topic for South Korean dramas that typically focus on Forbidden Love or secret love affairs.
