2006/07/26 | 308 views | Permalink | Source

The rights for a film adaptation of the popular Korean television dramas Autumn in my Heart and Winter Sonata are obtained by Poibos from KBS Media. Poibos announced that nothing has been decided yet about the cast and the story.

Autumn in my Heart and Winter Sonata enjoyed great popularity across Asia and turned the leading actors into pan-Asian stars. Song Seung-heon and Song Hye-kyo played the main characters in Autumn in my Heart, and Winter Sonata starred Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo.

The Poibos associated production company Culture Cap Media is attached to the project as producers of the films. Culture Cap Media films include the 2004 box office hit My Little Bride.

Other Korean television serials in development for film adaptation include "Old Miss Diary - Drama" (KBS sitcom), "Hello, Francesca" (MBC sitcom) and Taereung Training Center (MBC short drama).
