"Friends 2" to be released on the 14th of November

Korean noir is being re-highlighted as movie "Friends 2" starring Yu Oh-seong, Kim Woo-bin and Joo Jin-mo is being released on the 14th of November.

The 2001 "Friend" gathered 8.2 million audiences and rates the highest in adult rated movies ever. Delivering the true friendship of men in Korea, "Friend" was acknowledged for its quality and opened the noir of Korean movies.

The other two movies that represent Korean noir are the 2012 movie "Nameless Gangster" and 2013 movie "New World". The two movies recorded over 4 million audiences and were highly reviewed for its storyline and performance of the actors. It also succeeded in drawing the attention of female audiences.

"Friends 2" is at the peak of noir movies. In following the tragic death of Dong-soo (Jang Dong-gun) in the first movie, Joon-seok (Yu Oh-seong) meets Dong-soo's hidden son Seong-hoon (Kim Woo-bin) 17 years later and continues the story. Joo Jin-mo is starring as Kim Woo-bin and Joon-seok's father Lee Cheol-joo.
