Instead of heading to multiplex theaters for the latest commercial flicks, why not try something different? Here are a few alternatives.

Touring independent films: You can watch award-winning independent films from the 2007 Seoul Independent Film Festival. A total of 17 features and four shorts will tour Gangwon Province: May 24-25 at Gwandong University's Small Theater and May 31-June 1 at Sokcho Cultural Center. Visit film4n.com.

The lineup includes "The South of North" and "End of the Earth" from Russia and "Little Things" from England.
