GDCA kicks off a new media content production support project

The project is launched to discover animated films for distribution via new media

The Gyeonggi Digital Content Agency (GDCA, Director: Kim Byeong-Heon) joins hands with KTF (CEO: Jo Young-Joo) and Sidus FNH (CEO: Cha Seung-jae) and kicks off the 2006 GDCA Production Center's New Media Content Production Support Project.

Producers of animated film projects composed of short episodes (five episodes, 2?3 minutes per episode), which can be distributed via mobile devices, DMB, or various other new media format, may submit their proposal for inclusion in the project. Individual artists, teams, or small animation firms that produce original animations can submit project proposals that can be completed by February next year.

The theme of this year's project is "Fun-Zeul-Fun-Rak", which means "enjoy a happy life in this fun world". The selected works will receive 30 million Korean won per work for production support as well as production space and technical assistance from the GDCA Production Center. This year, the Project seeks to award up to eight animation titles. Those selected and completed works will be distributed and supplied via mobile devices, Internet, DMB, Wibro, IPTV, and PMP.

Those who wish to participate may download the application form from the GDCA website ( http://www.gdca.or.kr ) and submit the form and required materials either in person or by mail.
