"Giant" takes over No. 1 spot on TV charts

SBS' series "Giant" led the Monday and Tuesday night primetime lineup this week, taking the No. 1 spot from MBC's drama "Dong Yi".

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that "Giant" brought in viewership ratings of 21.7 percent on October 4 and 22 percent the following night, showing an increase of two percent compared to the week before.

Data released by AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the Lee Beom-soo starrer raked in viewership ratings of 22.5 percent on Monday and 24.7 percent on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, historical epic "Dong Yi" saw a decrease in ratings this week, coming in second place with ratings of 20.9 percent on October 4 and 20.3 percent last night on TNmS' chart.

AGB's poll revealed that "Dong Yi" posted viewership ratings of 22.2 percent on Monday and 22.6 percent the next day.

Taking the No. 3 spot was KBS' show "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" with marks in the nine to ten percent range.
