According to the Oricon weekly DVD list updated on Feb. 28, "Kara Best Clips", released on Feb. 23, has sold 132,132 copies, surpassing the first-week sales record of 99,000 set by Japanese female singer Mai Kuraki in 2000. This is also the largest number of video clip DVDs, including live, by a female singer in the first-week sales after release.

Kara became the first female foreign singers to top the Japanese music chart since it launched the DVD sales list in 1999, the chart said.

The group is the sixth, when male singers are included, following the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, TVXQ, JYJ and Michael Jackson.
