Two Girls' Generation members, Tiffany Young and Jessica Jung, have now come unstuck while attempting to make ceremonial first pitches in baseball games, albeit in different leagues and countries.

Tiffany Young made hers on Monday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles ahead of an MLB game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. She appeared in a Dodgers' uniform while the K-pop girl group's "I Got a Boy" played in the background.

Despite her impressive wind-up move, however, the ball fell short and veered off at an oblique angle, giving Dodgers' pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin, who served as the catcher, little to do but stare in amusement.

Jessica Jung made her first pitch at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium last May for the game between the LG Twins and Samsung Lions. But things went awry when she accidentally slammed the ball onto the grass directly in front of her. The related video clip quickly found its way onto ESPN, much to the amusement of U.S.-based viewers.

Fortunately, two more of the band's members, Kwon Yuri and Lim Yoona, have saved Girls' Generation's collective blushes by impressing fans and players with their more professional pitches.

Lim Yoona, an ardent fan of the Doosan Bears, put powdered rosin on her hand and exchanged signs with the catcher before throwing hers in October 2009 when the club faced the SK Wyverns.

Kwon Yuri also confessed to having practiced for three days with her manager before successfully pitching the first ball for the Bears against the Kia Tigers in April 2010.

The group will soon embark on a world tour starting with a gig in Seoul next month.
