An official at SBS told Asia Economic Daily over the phone that the 19-year-old singer has agreed to appear on the second season of 'Family', where she had made a guest appearance last year.

Producers of "Family Outing" have reportedly asked many Korean celebrities -- including actor Yoon Sang-hyun, singers PSY and 2PM's Taecyeon-- to be regulars on the new season. So far, actress and show host Kim Won-hee and comedian Ji Sang-ryeol have confirmed to become part of the new cast.

"Family Outing" was one of the most popular variety shows in Korea since its premiere in June 2008. With Korea's top emcee Yoo Jae-suk leading the star-studded cast, the show had once recorded viewership ratings of over 30 percent.

However, the "reality-based" variety show came under scrutiny early last year when one of the scripts was leaked on the Internet and fans found that the show was pre-scripted. Ratings for the show had been declining ever since.

The entire cast from the first season of "Family Outing", including host Yoo Jae-suk and singer Lee Hyori, are set to leave the show after shooting the final episode next week.

The second season is scheduled to air around late February or early March.
