The government is planning to commercialize Korean dishes served at various international summits held in South Korea as tourism products.
The South Korean government held a meeting on Thursday and discussed ways to commercialize Korean cuisines served at international gatherings.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Bahk Jae-wan said South Korea should continue to develop its unique attractions and food, citing that menus served at the Nobel Prize dinners gain great popularity in Swedish restaurants.
Bahk said Korean dishes served at the G20 Summit and the Nuclear Security Summit held in Seoul were highly evaluated by participants. He stressed if the dishes are commercialized, they will be able to provide a high-quality experience for foreign tourists.
