Hollywood war drama "Green Zone" bowed successfully into the domestic box office as the most-watched movie for the last week of March, according to estimates on Monday.

The Korean Box Office System (KOBIS) revealed that the action thriller sold 257,288 tickets during the weekend of March 26 to 28, outselling last week's chart-topper "Shutter Island" to claim the No. 1 spot.

"Zone", which reunites actor Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass of the blockbuster action movie "Bourne" series, is about the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 whose purpose was to find the weapons of mass destruction.

Korean comedy pic "Revolver Gangsters' Gang", starring veteran actresses Na Moon-hee, Kim Soo-mi and Kim Hye-ok, came in second with 236,918 admissions while mystery thriller "Shutter Island" fell back two slots to third place with 218,246 viewers.

Fantasy film "Alice in Wonderland" ranked in fourth with 198,600 admits, dropping two spots from last week, while Korean melodrama "Secret Love" debuted at fifth place selling 76,461 tickets.

Other movies in the top 10 were "Solomon Kane", "Secret Reunion", "Tears of the Amazon", "Outlaw" and "Daybreakers".
